Cheap Gamepad not work with Windows 10?
**Running windows 10**
So recently i bought a very cheap fake xbox usb gamepad in order to play racing games with an analog stick (unplayable with A-D). Plugged in and worked fine under devices (in control panel). (couldnt actually get it to work with any racing games unfortunately, tried xbox controller emulators etc). A short while later i noticed that the left analog stick no longer traced a circle but only now gave button inputs when the stick was in certain positions. could not fix. seller couldnt speak english. I gave up.

after that i bought two fake SNES gamepads, hoping to play the lego games 2 player with them (no analog sticks should be fine right). after finding they couldnt me directly mapped to the lego games, Joy2Key allowed them to work fine (success!!) for about 2 minutes. the left direction button on the 4-way hat of both controllers died simultaneously and the up direction now gives right input.
No calibration or removing/reinstalling device seems to work. the only information i have is that it could be a windows 10 problem.

Please help!!!!! surely other people must have had this in the past

Realistically your problem stems from the fact you bought fake stuff. It's fake and cheap for a reason.

Cheap knockoff 360 controllers have always been problematic at best with Windows. No such issues with official ones.

Best bet would be to go and buy a pair of XB1 controllers. They'll work with Win10 no problem.

Might i ask why you decided to use Console controllers with a PC?

Yeah i am looking to get a legit 360, though i am more annoyed about the SNES as they worked perfectly from the get go but now dont.

Captain,
Just for Dirt3 and Grid2 etc, trying to turn smoothly with keys on a keyboard doesnt make for a great experience. Also the SNES controllers for retro fun with my girlfriend

There are a lot of games that work better with a controller. The LEGO games for example. Or Street Fighter. Or or or or or...

Couldn't say since it should be simple button to key stuff. But again, cheap knock off who knows, maybe a connection came loose or something.

Was my first thought, but both SNES controllers now have exactly the same problem, and it came on at the same time for both
