Origin games onto Steam.
Is it possible to get games on my origin account onto Steam through the add a non-steam game feature?

I don't have any games yet so I can't test it for myself.

Yes, though you may have some issues with it.
I needed to exit Origin every time before launching Origin game through Steam, as I remember, otherwise Steam overlay won't work ingame.

Yes, it's doable.

More info on that.

Since 2014, I've just ticked this box within Origin:
[Origin > Application Settings > Advanced]
    :correctamundo:
Automatically exit Origin after closing a game.

Also, kept this unticked
[Origin > Application Settings > Origin In-Game]
    _
    Enable Origin In Game

I only launch its games (and Origin) through the Steam -client library.

Much less of a hassle.

Yes, Just add Origin.exe as non-steam game. Steam overlay works for most games with that. I've tested it with BF3 and BF4

The game executables work too, as long as Origin is OFF when you attempt to launch the game through the Steam -library.
Sweet!!! Thanks so much guys.

A little offtopic, but since we're discussing other platforms. Uplay games can be made to work with Steam overlay too.

In those case scenarios, you need to add Uplay.exe on Steam and apply the game's browser protocol (visible in the game's shortcut properties) as the Uplay.exe's launch argument.

i.e.
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\Uplay.exe" "uplay://launch/720/0"

So it's not just Origin that you can get to work with Steam's overlay. :)

Oh no, I meant my own add to the post. I mentioned Uplay despite the primary discussion being about Origin.
