sometimes my games dont exit right, and cant start new game

sometimes when i play grim dawn for a while, i go to exit and it kinda just freezed, and when i become able to get to windows, i right click the icon to try and close and it wont close. is there a fix known for this?

I usually CTRL+SHIFT+ESC and go through the processes to find the one that belongs to whatever is stuck and force it to End Task

That's more of a cure than a means to prevent what's happening though, something's wrong with either the game or more likely your system if that happens regularly.

I try to exit game and it freezes the screen when i click exit to main screen. I have to hit power on desktop which puts cpu to sleep if theres programs running, when i wake it back up i can see my desktop screen instead of frozen "grim dawn" (game) screen.. it still says on steam that grim dawn is running, so i cant open any games or close steam until grim dawn closes. but i right click the icon and hit close window, but it dont work.
Does this happen to other users?

my computer is only 2 months old, and spend 2000 dollars, hopefully the error is in the game files somewhere, heheh.

Doesn't have to be hardware related, it could be driver related, make sure you keep everything up to date, graphic/soundcard drivers etc. Something may be conflicting.

As suggested above use task manager to end it.

I only experience these issue when my HDD is failing
