Windows Crashing when opening phone folder

I was trying to copy music that I have on my computer, onto my phone. I connected my phone via usb and made sure that it is set to media file transfer. I can see the Phone in File Explorer but when I try and open it, File Explorer crashes. Not only does it crash, but it crashes my desktop aswell. The screen goes black and the only thing(s) that remain are opened tabs. I cannot access anything else, not even the start menu. Ctrl + Alt + Delete does work properly and it will open the task manager.

I am new to the android ecosystem and am not entirely sure if I am doing something wrong or if there is a bug.

Anyone have any suggestions?

you did nothing wrong
1- it might be your windows ( try to upload new or another version )
2- set your andriod to media file when its connected to your computer
3- check your (usb) set up on your computer

my windows is up to date, my usb is set to mtp... not sure wats wrong
