Scammed
Well if you have been scammed on steam, what can you do other than submitting a ticket to steam?

A person from steam and me were undergoing some terms and I was to provide a steamcode wallet key and then he/she would give me a certain item in a certain game, after I gave the code, well he/she said you have been fooled easily then deleted me and blocked me on steam. I do have the proof that the codes are mine and ive purchased them as i have the paypal receipt and everything. What can I do in this matter?

Any part of steam support I could contact ? Anything? I still have the codes and the discussion between me and her are in the chatlog eventhough she/he deleted me straight after receiving the codes and saying "You have been fooled"

Only thing you can do is to report the user via their profile for Scamming.

You performed a trust trade outside of a single Steam Trade window.

What is wrong with you? No, there isn't any way to get that back because anyone could say that receipt is for something different. You do not simply give money to people on the internet and expect for them to do the right thing.

That's the only thing I can do? so chatlogs and walletkeys provided from offgamers.com with paypal receipts and so on wont help to prove this guy is a scammer? I can't get my codes back even with steams help?

Uh no because off gamers will provide information that I bought those keys, I have screenshots that I bought the keys aswell, and they were willing to give this information to steam to help catch the scammer

Steam Support does not restore items that have left accounts for any reason, including trades, market transactions, deletions, or gifting.

The internet is not a friendly and/or safe place. There are people willing to help, but nearly everyone has a mask and remains anonomous. #1 rule of the internet, Do not trust anyone with personal or private information. Money is one of those. This situation is unfortunate but there is simply no fix.

It's weird that Steam themselves can't help even with chatlog that the user him/herself said you have been fooled after receiving the codes, I mean.. It's kind of weird that they wouldn't do anything about it, I'd be fine with the user being banned I dont care about the money, but I'm pretty sure this user has scammed many others.

I'm not asking for refunds or anything, I just want this user to be punished

The only thing that can be done, that i can think of, is contact steam or spread the word of it. Just don't name anyone and don't spam pls.

Contacting Steam will not help. All you cana do is report the user in their profile. Thats it

I've already filed in a ticket with the information, I am not going to send out the username here I just wanted some information since I'm new to steam, I'll wait for steam themselves to answer on the ticket I guess, thanks for your answers guys

It's not weird.

The official trading windows exist so they're used.

Steam Support does not restore items that have left accounts for any reason, including trades, market transactions, deletions, or gifting.

Things that happen outside the window fall on the user's responsibility.

As has been said, I'm sorry, but you're not getting your items back. Pictures can be falsified all the same for what it's worth.

I don't really care again as I said about the money, but they do have chatlog in steam where teh user clearly said you have been fooled and scammed before deleting, and there's ordernumbers and transaction codes from paypal and the website codes were purchased that cannot be falsified.

All I want is that user to be punished. If it takes $70 then so be it, aslong as this user gets whats coming for him/her.

If you haven't read this already I would recommend it.

In terms of punishment for the scammer
What happens to scammers?
If evidence exists that the Steam user is a scammer, Steam Support will ban the account from using the Steam Community, including Trading and using the Steam Market. The length of the ban is dependent on the severity and quantity of the scams. In some cases, scammers will be banned permanently. If a scammer has multiple accounts, all of their accounts may be subject to the ban as well.
In some cases, scammers will hijack an account and use it to commit scams, fraud or more hijackings. In these cases, we lock the account until the rightful owner contacts us about the hijacking.
