X-Wing vs TIE Fighter Screen Cropped in Win 10

X-Wing vs TIE Fighter ran perfectly in Win 7, full screen and no distortion.
Now in Win 10 display is cropped, or 'letterboxed', with blank black bars at sides.
No video settings make any difference: resolution; not 'Scale Full Screen' or 'Maintain Aspect Ratio'. Once the game starts it only runs squashed in at the sides.
Please help!

The game is that old, it only supports 4:3 resolutions, so getting black bars is to be expected.
