I added my money through China UnionPay but something wrong happened
In the morning of 18th may, 2016, (about 11 o' clock) I added 164 Chinese yuan to my account and I received the confirmation letter form the bank that the money has been paid to the Valve successfully. But when I finished my lunch I checked and found out that the trade didn't finish and the money didn't in my wallet. Therefore, I wanted to cancel the trade and did it again but when I click the button the trade was canceled but I couldn't ask for refund. And if the details of the trade information is needed I can send to you.
Moreover, I found that many Chinese also have this problem. So, I think PLEASE HELP US TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM and return my REFUND. THX!!!:steamsad:

If you cancelled the transaction, Valve does not have your money. The charge you see is a pre-authorization hold. Contact your payment provider to find out how long the hold will stay,

But this problem exist when users use China UnionPay to add money. By the way, the state of the trade from payment provider is successful. May be some problem with the China UnionPay and the Valve.

If the payment was successful, it would be too late to cancel it. You can only cancel pending (Steam does not have the money) payments. You can open a support ticket, but Steam is likely to tell you to contact UnionPay.
same problem here. steam should tell that Unionpay takes a Longtime BEFORE. If it doesnt get fixed FAST i wont bother buying games over steam anymore.

Correction: You shouldn't use Unionpay anymore. All other payment methods work, just today I bought a game on Steam via PayPal and it went through immediately. So don't use Unionpay and instead use a working payment method.

I have the same issue. I uploaded money on the 17th of May 2016. It got through after like 1 hour or so. But I tried to upload more money to my wallet last night (20th May 2016) and here I am, nearly 24hrs later it's status is still PENDING with I quote "This purchase is still pending. Your payment provider has not yet told us if they will charge you for this transaction."

I am not quite pleased with Union Pay but that was the only option for me, given my situation. The money is neither on my bank account nor on my steam wallet. I guess it is, as it says; PENDING, which means it's still processing. However it is very very very very slow. Next time I'll just purchase with my credit card.

i cancelled my order Yesterday night. Money has been deducted from my account. Purchase was Pending for over 30 hours. Have not gotten my money back to my account. After i cancelled the Pending order i got an email that i can buy again (with disount) but i guess the problem is still persistant. So until i hear positive confirmation that it works flawlessly again. I guess i wont be giving steam my money anymore

yes it's also the only way for me to upload money. SO SAD!!!

I guess waiting is the only option left at this point. But 3-5 days is quite a lot. (R.I.P Dota Compendium Lvl 50.)

现在的解决办法是你去他的support页面写出问题,他会回你说等5天如果还有问题就给他们反馈你的账户信息,和银联交易成功的截图包含所有的信息的。现在只有等了。
