ArmA II - Drag Action Broken(Please Help Find Solution)

Little to no one is in discussions on ArmA 2. So, I come here hoping to look for ArmA 2 veterans who encountered this issued.


I'm losing my mind on this...

The game is broken, has certain functions that are SUPPOSE to be in the game but the game fails to acknowledge it's existance.

SUMMARY: Playing in the game, I try to play Basic Training. Going through the First Aid Training, these are the steps that are suppose to be followed during training.

1. Go to wounded soldier and select "Drag" in the action menu

2. When dragging, select "Carry" in the action menu"

3. Bring injured soldier to Scarlet and put him down

4. Give injured soldier first aid.

Simple, right? Problem is the game WILL not give me the drag option! It will not display, from ALL angles around the wounded soldier, from different distances. It will only give me "First Aid" option.





"Solutions" that are NOT going to work listed below:

*I do NOT have Operation Arrowhead installed, so uninstalling is out of the question

*I do NOT have ANY mods, not even DayZ, installed. No mod conflictions.

*Validating Files - 31 Files Missing and wil be reaquired... not. The game is going all "Derp" mode on me. Keeps installing a 300 MB update, OVER and OVER again! It will NOT reaquire the files!

*Reinstalling is a big "Nope" Tried and failed

*Restarting computer BIG fail

*ArmA 2 is pirated: No, I bought the full game. NOT pirated.




These solutions are all that I keep finding on Google AND Steam

I'm running out of places to look for solutions... someone, PLEASE help me find out what's causing this stupid bug! I'm at boiling point in frustration just to fix one freaking bug! 3 days of trying to find a solution, and no solution! Only "I have the same problem" comments! They are NOT helping! I want to play the full game of ArmA 2 with little issues and delay!

Only like, what? 4 to 5 people play on Arma 2. So, it means 1 to nobody is on Arma 2 Discussions. Plus, you've already proven to be of no help on there. You don't have the answer for my problem.

No, it doesn't. It's Help and Tips, that's true, but it's also called Steam Discussions, not Game Discussions.

Wrong. Not getting answers in the game's discussions doesn't mean "Post wherever you want!" This is for help with Steam client and services, not games.

They only explain the controls, I've already tried where I thought I did wrong... I haven't. I am not at fault here. The drag and controls are failing to show in my selection menus.

This is a 7 year old game, you'd think they'd have a solution to this by now. I've looked on Google. NO search results for the game, or problem I'm having! And the ones that DO have the topic of my problem only has MORE problems, or NO answer at all!
