I watched a few videos about both games, i have to say SPAZ 2 looks quite the game, the only thing that may be a bit bothersome to a nitpicker like myself is that linear style of game play, in saying that i will be closely following SPAZ 2 and see how it goes after launch!
Any other cool suggestions?

Thank you for your suggestion as well! I have looked into FTL extensively but I don't like the 2D factor to it unfortunately :(
I'm trying to find something as close to the old star wolves games as possible for nostalgia purposes, as I've played them too many times now :(
I love the look of "dreadnaught" but unfortunately it's only a multiplayer game :(
I'm still on the hunt, anyone have any more suggestions?
