I REALLLY NEED HELP ON MY STEAM ACC
So I want to authenticate my steam guard on my phone , but , my phone number has expired and i just bought a new number . i cant use my old phone number anymore , and steam keep sending me the code to my old phpne number , but now , i want it to send to my new number , how ? Can anybody official pls help me out here . i really want to buy a knife .

Can steam just send a code to my email ? I cant receive any sms from steam because my phone has expired .

You will either need to get a new SIM card with the old number, or contact Steam support and provide proof of ownership.

There is no set time. Could be a few days, could be a few weeks. Steam will respond though.

This problem has happened to me all you have to do is go to https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2268-EAFZ-9762 and ask for your account back. You do have to give proof a that you are the owner of that account. Like putting what name of the credit/debit card you use recently on your steam account. Add additional information like what was your phone number on that account, what is the password to the account, what is the login username. Which the staff should give you your account back with no problem. They will reset it to your email.

In this situation no longer having your phone is the same as stolen or lost. Read that. ^^ Do what the words say. Be patient. Steam Support has to deal with a neverending horde of people on a daily basis across the world who also don't read and end up wasting more of support's time and their own time in the process.

If you have a Steamguard mobile authenticator and you didn't save your recovery code then you'll need to contact support and as already mentioned multiple times, prove ownership.

Responses in this thread are assuming you did not, you have a new phone according to your posts and no access to your old phone and no recovery code because if you did, you wouldn't have a problem.

This is according to the Steam faqs. If you contact support without proof of ownership then you'll just be waiting for them to tell you that you need to provide proof of ownership and you'll have to wait even longer.

i did contact steam support like the 5th times since yesterday , still no reply .... i proved my ownership of this acc alrdy fyi .

If you order a cheeseburger and then ask the cashier 5 times where your cheeseburger is, does your order come out faster than everyone else's ahead of you?
