I used to not get this problem during my first times using Steam, now it happens all the time. I've tried reinstalling Steam multiple times and it doesn't go away. Anyone's help would be greatly appreciated.

Could be your antivirus interfering with Steam. Check the list of Programs Which May Interfere with Steam.
