I have been looking for the answer to this question, because the game without a license, and for the patching I need a license. How to update Spore on Steam without using a license?

I don't understand. You bought the game, it appears in your Steam games, so you should have the license.

You shouldn't have to download anything outside steam. Everything that comes with the steam version should be at the latest version, or Maxis just gave up on the game and moved on.
