Steam inventory completely empty?

So I logged in today to an empty inventory. I checked market, trade, gift history etc and there wasn't anything suspicious so my account wasn't hijacked. When I try to view my inventory from a browser instead of the client, it says my inventory isn't available at this time.

I have access to all of my emotes so the items are still on my account, but I can't see them? It just displays me as having 0 items and I can't access them. I couldn't find anything that helped fix it online, so I'm hoping there's some kind of explanation for this. I live with someone else who uses steam and they can see all of their items, which confuses me further.

Should you open some Steam friend of yours profile, click [More > Offer a Trade]

Would your items display in the trading window? If so, what would happen should you click the down arrow on the item's bottom right corner and then click [View in inventory] ?

Nothng displays in my inventory when I try to make a trade. I should also note that when I view my badge progress, all of my currently owned cards are listed, so they're definitely not gone.

Well, just so you know, there's been issues with levels today, so it might be related to that. If so, it's likely just a temporary issue which will sort itself out.

I'd say the best course of action is to wait and see if it's fixed when they resolve the current issues Teutep spoke about, and contact support if it persists.

I seem to have found a fix myself. When I traded someone I wasn't able to see any of my items, but when I asked a friend to trade me, I was able to view my items in the community tab of the trade window. I don't know why I couldn't when I offered the trade myself, maybe it was just a random occurrence, but my items are visible now. Give it a shot either way if you're having the same issue.
