I purchased the game awhile back and was trying to load it to my new computer and I am missing Disc 1 is there a way I can download from steam?

if you didn't buy it on steam you can't download it on steam.

thanks for the reply, I have 2 other games Empire total war and civilization I purcahsed from wal mart I put the CD in and it downloaded onto steam. but I missing disc 1 so the comp wont let me download fable

If you buy a game in retail that works with Steam the game will have a serial key inside the box.
Look if your Fable Lost Chapters box has one. And also if its for the Steam version. If yes, you can just use the key with the " Activate a product on Steam" function in the client options.
Then the game will be registerd to your account and you can just download it. No disc needed.
If its not the Steam version of the game you are out of luck. Then you need to buy the game again on Steam if you want to play it here.
