Steam download rate dropped from 10MBps to 1MBps.

Today i started downloading ARK : SOTF and the download speed did not go up to 10MBps (or higher) as always but only to 1MBps. And even if its 1MBps, it takes a long time. Any ideas why this happens? I don't download anything in the meantime.

It happens. But you can change the download region, - it may help:

I already tried to switching from Sweden to Denmark, same speed.

Steam doesn't show download speed in Mbps (megabits per second). It shows them in MB/S (megabytes per second).

1 MB/S = 8 Mbps.

If you have a 10Mbps internet connection, your downloads should be no faster than 1.25 MB/S.

I'm saying MBps (megabytes per second) all the time, it was 10MBps before but now it's 1MBps.
