Second xbox one controller not doing anything
Hi all,

First of all English is not my native language so excuse me for the grammar etc.

I use multiple xbox controllers to play rocket league with friends on my desktop.
I've build a new gaming computer 2 weeks ago.

The issue is that only 1 controller works. The second controller for example, is connected and recognized by windows but just doesn't do anything. This is Windows 10, where this should be plug and play.

In windows - > Devices and printers -> properties of controller I see 2 controllers. I can open 1 to see which buttons you're pressing, but the other one gives a error. from Dutch translated it says: The gamesetup is not connected properly. (De spelinstelling is niet goed aangesloten)

What I've tried so far:
- Reboot
- Reinstall drivers
- Delete drivers & Reboot
- Use second controller via wireless dongle
- Choose the other available driver in W10
- I've downloaded the xbox accessoires app in the windows store - both devices are recognized and up-to-date.
- When I can use mine, and the second one doesn't work, I unplug them and switch them. The second one works properly then, and mine doesn't.

It Always worked and works on other systems, but my new system just refuses and I'm out of options. Does anyone know something that I could try? It seems to be popular on Asus systems.

Thanks for your help in advance!

You can use a little trick if you have 2 controllers.

1) Plug the first controller, the game will recognize it as the first player.
2) Then you plug the second controller and press start at the main menu, a new player will join.

.. You miss the point.

Windows sees the controller but gives a conflict.
When in rocket league for example. the player 1 controller works fine. Player 2 controller does not respond to anything - no start button too.

I've the exact same issue ... if you are using usb connection you can try that

Go to Device Manager ->
Double Click "Controller" ->
Click on "Update Driver Software..." ->
Click on "Browse my computer for driver software" ->
Click on "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer" ->
Highlight "Show All Devices" -> Click "Next" ->
Click on the Button "Have Disk..." -> In the Popup Window, click on the Button "Browse" ->
Browse to "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Xbox One Controller for Windows\" and select "xb1usb.inf" and click open ->
Click on OK -> Highlight "Microsoft Xbox One Controller" and click "Next" ->
Ignore the System message click on "OK" ->

It's work for me (I've download xb1usb.inf on the web)
But I'm using wireless adaptator and that's dont work with this one :(
If someone got the solution please let me know ! (sorry for my english aswell ^^)
