My icons are blank pages instead of the icon that should be for the game HELP
So. i started to switch all my games on my computer to my new harddrive because the one that i was using got full so i had to buy a new one. when i moved my steam to the new harddrive all the icons on all the games changed to a blank page and i can't get the icons back!. i have tried to uninstall and install steam 5! times now and im getting quite frustrated because it's getting late and i just want this to work.
Anyone got any ideas on what i should do to get it working again?
Ps. i have tried to change it back to how it was before but it didn't help:(

delete the icons then re add them by right clicking on the game in your library and selecting create a desktop shortcut.

this is most likely due to the shortcut path being different.

i have tried that but it still came up as blank icons. but i think i found a solution that if i change the name on the icon it actually worked.

Do they look correct when you go in the game data folders (i.e. the .exe files)?

I've had issues with the game icons from time to time, they've usually resolved themselves with time though.

You can find the icon files under Steam > steam > games and apply them manually to the shortcuts (.url) -files.

Alternatively, as Celestial Fatality said, you could make shortcuts of the .exe file manually. Those would be in .lnk -format.
