For anyone using SHADOWPLAY
Hi there,

Just a quick question for you guys out there that use shadow play for recording any of your games. I'm having a problem where it's picking up my steam voice chat or teamspeak voice chat, and it doesn't matter whether i have it set to ingame audio only, mic and ingame or ingame with push to talk Etc.

When set to ingame audio only, it will pick up the audio from my friends and any music i have playing in the background but not my mic, having mic and ingame works like it should, picking up my mic, friends but it's also recording any background music as well.

I've done a fair bit of research, and i can't find anything on this problem. In fact I've found multiple instances where people are having the opposite problem or they're looking how to record steam/skype/TS as well as their game.

So if anyone out there knows how to deal with this, preferably not using third party software, or could point me in the direction to useful information i would be extremely appreciative.

Thankyou.

Of course it doesn't pick up your mic. It's set to in game audio. You have to set it to mic audio for it to pick up your mic.

Read the entire thread before posting something i've already stated.

So to get it straight, it is for whatever reason picking up Teamspeak and other programs sounds when you don't want it to?
So you want it to only pick up the games sound and nothing else or want it to pick up the games sound and your mic but nothing else?

Exactly, no matter what setting i have it on, excluding audio capture off, it will pick up background sound including youtube music and friends talking through either steam/ts/skype. If i have it set to mic and ingame it will pick up all of those plus my mic.

I'd just like it to only record the ingame audio and nothing else :/

Have you tried checking if the game is Borderless Fullscreen and not just Fullscreen, Borderless Fullscreen may be causing the issue (not actually sure if this will help or not).

I'm fullscreen, just checked then.

I don't think it's my computer either, brand new EON17-X

Just did a few tests, turns out if you select in-game audio Shadowplay will always record things like Skype, music players etc... even if you turn off Allow Desktop Capture. So i don't think you can get it to only record the game and nothing else unfortunately.

Tbh Shadowplay has quiet a few issues, in fact I used to have a little batch file that would turn Shadowplay off and back on again, this was because if you unplug and re-plug your headset in Shadowplay will not record audio until you restart it. A month or two ago they removed the functionality to stop Shadowplay via command for no reason.

Ahh so there's no workaround?

I feel ripped. Thanks for your help, just curious if anyone could suggest a possible solution, if it comes to it i don't mind using third party software :/

Same issue here. I've tried many solutions, but none have worked 100% - it's a tricky balance of having the right audio settings.
