How do I sell items without mobile authentication

I dont have a working mobile device and am wondering how to trade and sell items while still being secure.

Well, you can still sell or trade items, however there will be a 15 day wait. For trading it may be a bit difficult to find people willing to trade with you. For the market, you need to think a couple of weeks ahead, as prices may change by the time your items lists.

For security, choose a strong password for your email and account. Make the passwords different. Never give out your passwords, obviously. Don't click suspicious links. Don't install software from unknown or untrusted sources, even if the software itself is legitimate.

so, are you saying that I should turn off steam guard?

I have email authentication but no mobile authentication. Does this mean that my items will be on the market for 15 days then taken off or will the be up after 15 days.

You are misunderstanding the term STEAM GUARD. It includes the following forms:

Mobile Authenticator - no hold
Email - 15 day hold

YOU must have one of the above in order to trade or use the market. You cannot do either if steam guard is turned off.

It means that if you list the item now, it will not show up until 15 days have passed.
