Xbox one Wireless Controllers not all being recognized in games.
Hello there. So this is a really weird issue, and maybe some one can help. I'm running a windows 10 desktop, have the wireless adapter set up, and can connect controllers to it. Steam big picture can even see the controllers and they all vibrated when tested. That said, games are recognizing all of them.

Duck game will only recognize the first one, but when I disconnect/reconnect the others, it says that a gamepad has been connected, but still won't let them join.

Rocket league won't recognize any controllers but the first at all.

I haven't tried any other games, like gang beasts or enter the gungeon, but I expect the same results.

This is a weird issue, because it works fine on my wife's laptop. All controllers are seen and usable. No extra set up was necessary. It is also a windows 10 device.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Before anyone asks, I would use my wife's laptop if possible, but she's visiting home and I don't have access to it.

Try redownloading the driver Here[www.microsoft.com]

That seems to be the driver for the 360 Controller. I'm using the Xbox One controllers, and their drivers are baked into windows 10, (i've tried to update/re-install them anyway to no avail). Thank you though.

Oh, didn't realise you were using Xbox One controllers, sorry.
What wireless adapter did you buy? Can you send me a link?

Might be easier to actually quote you.

I have to admit I'm a bit stumped as to why they wouldn't work.. The controller works elsewhere, the drivers are there and the adapter is fine.

The only other things I could say are...

1. If you haven't already, try the adapter in a different USB port if you have any spares.

2. This sounds stupid, but I've had the Xbox 360 adapter disconnect if I have the controller blocked by my desk while I'm sitting and playing. So just double check that the signals to and from the reciever aren't blocked by anything.

If the problem still persists, try getting a live chat at Microsoft support. People hate these things but I've had them solve some USB related issues in the past.

***I have already gone through the menus and selected the correct help desk, just click on "Chat online with a Microsoft Answer Tech". You should then be asked to sign in. After that the chat windows should appear. ***
