Noise Gate?

When i record my game play or stream i use OBS which has a noise gate built in so i am able to block out all the background noise and the mic only kicks in when i talk.

Using Steam chat or skype my mic (blue snowball ice) picks up everything the TV, fans on my PC even the kids talking in the background.

Is there any software or hardware i can use to block out all the background noise?
