EVERY time I log in computer and browser not recognized and account has to be re-authorized?
Hello. I'm new to steam, had my account 3 days. I only have 1 computer and I only use 1 browser. So I am accessing Steam from the SAME computer and SAME browser every single day.

However, EVERY morning, when I open Steam, I find my profile is logged out (even though I set it to remember me on this computer and I did not log out the night before) and I have to relog in. When I try to log in, I get set to an error page which informs me that because I am accessing Steam on a "NEW MOBILE DEVICE OR BROWSER" that I have "NEVER USED BEFORE" I must therefor wait to receive an authentication email with a new authentication code before I'm allowed to log in.

Then, after an hour or two of browsing and searching for games to buy, suddenly Steam crashes and the error message AGAIN pops up and once again tells me that because I am accessing Steam on a "NEW MOBILE DEVICE OR BROWSER" that I have "NEVER USED BEFORE" I must therefor wait to receive an authentication email with a new authentication code before I'm allowed to log in.

Then, EVERY TIME I add a game to my shopping cart, suddenly Steam crashes and the error message AGAIN pops up and once again tells me that because I am accessing Steam on a "NEW MOBILE DEVICE OR BROWSER" that I have "NEVER USED BEFORE" I must therefor wait to receive an authentication email with a new authentication code before I'm allowed to log in.

Then, I buy a game and WHILE the game is in the middle of downloading, suddenly Steam crashes and the error message AGAIN pops up and once again tells me that because I am accessing Steam on a "NEW MOBILE DEVICE OR BROWSER" that I have "NEVER USED BEFORE" I must therefor wait to receive an authentication email with a new authentication code before I'm allowed to log in.

Then, later while I'm playing the game after an hour or two of playing a game, suddenly while in the middle of playing the game Steam crashes and the error message AGAIN pops up and once again tells me that because I am accessing Steam on a "NEW MOBILE DEVICE" that I have "NEVER USED BEFORE" I must therefor wait to receive an authentication email with a new authentication code before I'm allowed to log in.

Uhm... I'm not using a mobile device at all. I'm using my computer. I've not logged out or changed devices or changed browsers, and I usually I'm in the middle of doing something (downloading game or playing game) when it gives me the message.

I know there is probably a logical reason why this is happening, but I can't figure out what it is. My browser is set to accept cookies, so I don't think it is that. I tried clearing my browser cache to see if that fixed it and it's still doing it.

I read this in the FAQs: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=3658-TPXM-3237

==================
Why do I have to enter a Steam Guard code every time I log in?
With Steam Guard, Steam saves a cookie to remember your computer or browser. It is possible that software installed on your machine is deleting these cookies or preventing them from being created. Also, it is possible that certain browser features are enabled which are preventing the feature from functioning correctly.
Cookies must be enabled in your browser for Steam Guard to work properly. Please ensure that there are no security settings in your browser that are blocking cookies.
Please follow the instructions below to turn off browser features that may be interfering with Steam Guard:
Internet Explorer
Disable InPrivate Browsing
Chrome
Icognito Mode
Safari
Turn off Private Browsing
Automatic Clearing of History
Firefox
Turn off Private Browsing
Automatic Clearing of History

Note:
Running programs including security software that clear internet history, delete other unused files, or that clean up orphaned registry entries may have a setting to clear cookies as well. Disabling this feature will prevent this issue from occurring when logging into Steam via your web browser.

===================

I'm using the Chrome browser, but not in Icognito Mode, maybe there is a setting/plug-in/ect on the Chrome browser causing it? But can't figure out which one if there is.

I have Norton Antivirus & Firewall on my computer, could that be causing it?

Has anyone had this happen before? I've had my account 3 days and this is happening about every hour or so, WHILE I'm in the middle of playing a game, the game just closes and I get told I'm accessing from a new device or browser, right in the middle of a gameplay, making it nearly impossible to play games. Do you know how to fix this problem?

Thanks!

This sort of behaviour is often caused by third-party programs messing up Steam. Start with CCleaner. Do you use it?

Yeah, I'm thinking it's got to be something on my computer causing it. Maybe there's an adware on my computer? I should have Norton run a full system scan, maybe it'll find something.

I have CCleaner. I'll have it run and see if I get any more errors today after running cc.

I wonder if maybe something is running in the background on my computer, that I wasn't aware was running? I'll check that too.

The point is not to run CCleaner, the point is to uninstall it.

Once I started cleaning up stuff on my drive, I just kept going with it...

Went through the registry and found about 200 errors, fixed those.

Norton found 2 threats that it deleted off the computer - maybe that was the problem?

While I was going through stuff, I found some old programs I'm not using anymore and uninstalled them.

Also noticed I had a really old version of Flash, which was "double installed" alongside a newer version of Flash in my Chrome browser and deleted the old one, which seems to have fixed a playback issue I was having with YouTube - maybe that was also causing trouble one Steam?

I ended up adding freeing 88GB of space on the hard drive by the time I got done deleting and uninstalling stuff. LOL!

I've not had the error on Steam since. I think maybe it's fixed now? I hope so.
