how do u check if steam is up to date

i cant find the way to check if steam is up to date PLZ HALP

It should tell you if there's an update as long as you're connected to the Internet.

An update was just released yesterday or the day before and the update automatically installs on the next steam start up. So i'm sure your steam is up to date. So no need to worry.

In steam click on help>about and you should see when it was last updated which was the 16th of august 2016.

but how do u check the its up ot date because i got this pop up and it said cant play gmod check if ur steam is up to date and i want to make sure because i accdenly clicked out of the update i ment to press minimize but im so so srry for giving u a basic paroghaph srry
