Steam Store and News does not load - Blank Pages.
Chaps,

Recently, my Steam has stopped working, and I am unable to browse the store for any new games.

When I log into the client, the store screen is completely blank, nothing loads, only page I can access is my Library to load in games I already own.

The loading 'wheel/circle' that follows my cursor, an the one in the top right of the Steam client, completely freak out, they only move a quarter of the circle, then jump back, then repeats, quite rapidly.

I've done a fresh install of Steam - No fix
did the //flushconfig - No fix.

Looked in task manager, and it loads up 2 or 3 steamwebhelper processes, none of which I can end the task.

Any Idea how to fix this? I can't play any game on steam, as this endless rapid loading is using up the CPU on my PC.

This image is what my client looks like, and the loading ring in the top right, only uses the 3 bars from the left, to the top, hopping back rapidly.

Close Steam. Go to:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Steam\htmlcache

Empty the folder. Restart Steam.

Cant find it.

Steam is installed on my HDD not SSD, so its installed in D: drive, No users folder there, and under users folder>appdata in the C drive, theres no steam folder.

it's steam built-in browser cache it allways in your windows profile, nothing to do with client folder itself

you have limited windows account, steam was installed in profile that have administrator's permissions, and cache folder inacsessible on limited user

Did you go from appdata into the local folder? You could also just search your C: drive (or whichever drive you installed Steam on) for "htmlcache".

I just did a search and found it, your fix worked, cheers pal. Was starting to pull my hair out over this.

Only started after I upgraded windows 10 to the anniversary build a week or so ago.

I have this same problem and emptying the htmlcache doesn't fix it. I have the same problem of the loading wheel spinning only 25% then restarting and nothing but my library loading. Please help.

I also have this problem.
Perfomed a Windows reset, and the Steam client is still very flaky. Steam pages load fine in web browser and clearing htmlcache has no effect.. Once again, only started since the anniversary update.
Sometimes it works fine but most of the time no pages will load, or will load without images and the progress spinner keeps spinning.
