Unable to delete local saves on computer.
I am trying to locate the local app data for "No Man's Sky" on my PC so that I can delete them in order to create a cloud sync conflict in order to restart the game entirely. When I go into Steam\userdata\SteamID\ I am unable to find the AppID "275850" for "No Man's Sky" so that I can delete my local save content. If someone could please help out with either a suggestion on how to find it, or another way to delete the cloud data, I would greatly appreciate it.

No Man's Sky should put its saves in:

%APPDATA%\HelloGames\NMS

Delete that (might want to back it up first), launch the game. Steam should say there is a conflict, ask to upload your local save to the Steam cloud.

Assuming you want to keep your progress for later, yeah. Or you can even just move it to a different folder, like your documents or desktop. If you are certain you don't want to go back to that save, you can just delete it outright.

I had already deleted the game off of my pc twice, but the steam cloud save kept overwriting whatever progress I had made on my new saves, I am unable to create the cloud sync conflict

Open the Steam client. Go to the Library. Right-click No Man's Sky and choose "Properties". In the new window, go to the "Updates" tab. At the bottom, remove the tick mark from the box telling Steam to use cloud saves with this game.

Now delete the save as described above. Launch No Man's Sky so it creates a new, blank local save. Finally, close No Man's Sky. Go back to the settings for the game as described above and enable cloud sync. Launch No Man's Sky and you should get the conflict message.

Unfortunately I don't own the game, so I'm going off PC Gaming Wiki's advice for where the save file should be. You might have better luck asking in the game's forum, as people are more likely to know where the local save is placed.

It's also possible that Steam only uses a cloud save, while sites like GOG use a local save. It's not clear from the wiki if Steam uses both, though it should.
