Any other way to storage infomation of steam game files?
I have a Laptop which is Razer Blade 2015, love it, but the big problem is the memory since it only have 256GB. So I check online and see that people use external hard drive to store the info for games and other purposes. So I brought one which is Seagate Backup Slim Drive 1TB. I love it but recently, the seagate drive just suddenly not work while playing Witcher 3 (How I know was that the game itself was not working correctly such as map not showing, inventory not showing, can't save the game nor load, npc glitching, and more). Then I check and it just won't show up as well to access the seagate drive but I check on Disk Management and Device Manager, the seagate drive is appearing there, so its not a dead drive or the usb itself is dead. So I took about 2 days trying to find the solution, asking on steam, asking on Razer forums, and searching online. Sadly, none can fix it. So I had to buy other External hard drive which is a WD - My Passport External Hard Drive, and buy a Seagate recovery system for 100$ to just recover the files from Seagate drive to WD drive. Now, I am worried that it might happen again but I can't see any other ways to solve the storage problem. I ask for some help, some recommend to buy a internal hard drive 1TB to replace it, but idk if I am allowed to modify the Razer Blade 2015 Laptop as well that I don't have any knowledge on installing it in safely for it to work correctly. So I am just wondering if there is any other options to solve the storage problem (not going to buy another Razer Blade that has more storage). I did check that the external hard drive that I brought is only mention to be a backup, is there any external hard drive that is not a backup, just a storage itself that won't have the same problem as my seagate drive has. I do know that I need to buy a full PC computer with hardware itself so internal hard drive won't be a problem but will able to get it later (Money is tight for me) and I can only use external hard drive to store files that I won't use during gameplay on Steam or on other games. (Yes, I have the external hard drive on so steam can recognize the files so I can play the game) So any recommendations on how to store the game files without overloading my laptop's memory? Also to add is that before when I was using seagate, I was often remove the drive when not using it when I go to sleep, then put it back on when I wake up...I thought that was the problem since I saw it from online so I will not remove the WD external hard drive that I am using right now when I turn the laptop on and off...is it okay?

I apologize for my error on spelling/grammar.
