Seriously ... how much longer must we endure this crappy error? I got this bloody error for every single trade in the past few weeks. Sometimes i have to try up to 20 times to get a single trade offer (incoming or sent) through. Isnt a multimillion dollar company like Valve able to fix this error in time? what is the bloody problem?

Same here! Fed up of retrying zillions of times to accept / confirm offers.

It's beyond a joke now. As you say it's been happening for weeks with no sign of a let-up.

Also, when advertising stuff on the market, listings don't show up for hours sometimes.

Useless.

I have a bit of an update for you.

A mate and I did some tests earlier. We traded same card for same card. Offer was accepted and confirmed immediately without errors and both ways!

Ok, we thought it might be a friend list related error. I got another trade offer incoming and had masses of error 28s again and countless 'unable to confirm' errors too!

So, I sent my mate a TF2 weapon for his and he started getting error 28s, blank trade window etc. too!

Conclusion is that this is most likely a TF2 server bug i.e. Steam gifts being sold for TF2 keys are also bugging out.

At least it might help to pinpoint what the heck is going on.

Its outrageous ... started with the Pyro vs Heavy Update. Valve really doesnt give a crap about TF2 or this problems
