Purchased game does not appear in my catalog.
I bought "Monster's Den: Book of Dread" a few days ago. The reciept for the purchase showed up instantly in my email, but it is not in my Steam purchase history at all. Because of this, I cannot click on the title for help. Any ideas why the program is AWOL? Thanks!

The purchase didn't go through by the looks of it.

That's very odd. I have been charged for the game along with this email:

"Thank you for your recent transaction on Steam.
The items below have been added to your Steam Library.
Account name: maethius1 Subtotal: $4.49
Invoice: 512666340726520386 Tax: $0.39
Date issued: Jul 21, 2016 @ 8:50am PDT Total: $4.88
Payment method: Visa "

Seems the game should be there. I can't even get a refund and try to purchase it again, since that would require the title to show up in my library. Suggestions?

Restarting Steam should do the trick.

Nope. Restarting Steam or my PC did not work.
Si-Fi Aug 2, 2016 @ 6:46am
In the recent transaction history, has the purchase been marked as successful?
Maethius Aug 2, 2016 @ 6:49am
Nothing shows in transactions. The purchase shows up in my Visa statement.

If any purchase on Steam were deemed to be completed successfully, pending and/or failed, it would be displayed in your account's purchase history. That goes for all types of payments.

This^ Just because something shows up as a withdrawl on your visa it doesn't actually mean it happened. In most cases the charge simply drops off your card with no indication of it doing so.

ALSO: REMOVE YOUR USERNAME FROM POST #2!!! That's personal information a scammer would love to have.

Are you using the same account you purchased the game on?

Si-Fi:
Not sure what to say about that; if it wasn't completed successfully, Steam shouldn't have my money. I cannot see any way to rectify the issue because Steam has no record of it. Again; can you think of any way I can fix the problem? I could purchase the game a second time (it's only a few bucks!) but there seems to be a glaring infrustructure problem here.

Shiel:
Thanks for the note on my PI; removed it.
I suppose I can just order the game again and maybe the original will vanish.

MancSoulja:
I only have one account. (at least, I THINK I only have one account!!!)

You should probably contact Steam support.
https://help.steampowered.com/en/

Because this isn't normal.

Define purchase history? I think perma-del'd games didn't show up under Account Details but do under Help Desk.

Click [Help > Steam Support] on top of the client, then click [Games, Software, Etc], look up the game and see if you have a [It's not in my library] button there.

I'd post the link but I'm not on the computer right now.

EDIT: Acquired it a bit easier than I expected. https://help.steampowered.com/en/wizard/HelpWithGame/?appid=502230

I've been trying, but I don't see an actual way to contact anybody. Whenever I use the Help system I seem to get a different set of menu options, non of them actually solving the issue, usually I end up in a loop telling me to click on the nonexistent item in my purchase history. This thread seems to be the only interactive point of contact.

Thanks to everyone trying to help, by the way!

Teutep:
All help links lead to messages requiring me to click on the item in my "purchase history"... I don't know any other way to define it.
