OBS not being able to record Steam Voice Chat

Hi, one day I was recording using obs and it was piking up my friends voice just fine then the next day i tried calling my friend and the ringing sound was diffrent and when i turned on obs it could pick up my voice and the game sounds but not his, but i can still hear him, this also happens with teamspeak but not with skype please responde if you have any ideas on how to fix this

In your OBS go to settings/audio/global audio devices and change desktop audio from default to your speakers or headphones if not that play around in this tab and try various devices to fix the problem. Good luck!
