Buying items on the Steam marketplace? Think again
Steam just made all of the items in two games (H1Z1 Just Survive and H1Z1 King of the Hill) completely unmarketable. That means you can no longer re-sell them like you used to be able to on the market.

How long was the notice? 3 days

With all items purchased on the market (if you have your steam app set up), you have to wait a week to sell them again (discounting CS) due to the trade hold/market hold. That means that you may buy a lot of items from the marketplace with the intention to sell them again, but Steam could make them UNMARKETABLE AND UNSELLABLE AT ANY TIME WITHOUT MUCH NOTICE IF AT ALL.

DON'T FALL VICTIM TO THIS SCAM, DON'T PURCHASE ITEMS ON THE STEAM MARKET

It could happen to any game on Steam.

Don't lose your money guys.

How do you know Steam did this, and not the developer?

The market is associated with Steam therefore I am attributing this to their doing. If it can happen to one game it can happen to all

Reguardless of the game developer

Again, a developer is free to change whether an item is marketable or not. Steam doesn't decide whether a game has an in-game store, much less which items from it can be sold on the community market.

This isn't CSGO related

waiting to see how many more topics the OP is going to spam across the forums about this
Or

Or

Don't buy things with the sole purpose of reselling them?

No one lost any money because pixels have zero value. You still get to keep the items you paid for, too. This is most likely a developer's choice and if you're that mad at it, you should take it up to them.

Also good luck with your lawsuit. I'm sure only great things will come out of it.

Can you not purchase CS GO items on the marketplace?
VeNoM Jul 26, 2016 @ 4:53pm
zero value? Please explain what zero value is, as the marketplace items are purchased with ACTUAL MONEY and not VIRTUAL MONEY

How do you know this couldn't happen in CSGO?

Even if it did, these are THEIR items. Who cares?
VeNoM Jul 26, 2016 @ 4:56pm
