How do you know Steam did this, and not the developer?
How long was the notice? 3 days
With all items purchased on the market (if you have your steam app set up), you have to wait a week to sell them again (discounting CS) due to the trade hold/market hold. That means that you may buy a lot of items from the marketplace with the intention to sell them again, but Steam could make them UNMARKETABLE AND UNSELLABLE AT ANY TIME WITHOUT MUCH NOTICE IF AT ALL.
DON'T FALL VICTIM TO THIS SCAM, DON'T PURCHASE ITEMS ON THE STEAM MARKET
It could happen to any game on Steam.
Don't lose your money guys.
Or
Don't buy things with the sole purpose of reselling them?
No one lost any money because pixels have zero value. You still get to keep the items you paid for, too. This is most likely a developer's choice and if you're that mad at it, you should take it up to them.
Also good luck with your lawsuit. I'm sure only great things will come out of it.
