why can't I make my sims 4 on steam play chess or music or bath

I ask my sim to play chess or bath or play guitar or sing and it dosnt give me the choice it picks up the object to move it what can I do

It is better to ask in the Sims 4 forum on Steam. most that use that forum do own the game on Steam and are far more likely to be able to help you.

But sidenote, have you tried not being in build mode?

Also, before posting in the Sins 4 section turn off all mods and command cheats you're using.

I am having the same problem, I tried moving the chess board and switching the chairs out, making sure they are attached to the chess table but nothing is working. I can't get my sim to play the guitar either. Please help!
