There are guides that list different badges.
Badges can have 5 levels and there's a special one called foil.
You get a badge when you complete all the cards for a game (not all games have these).
You can increase the level of the badge up to lv5, for this you need to get 1 extra set of cards for each level. You need to buy or trade these.
The foil badge is based on cards that are silver and have 2% chance of dropping instead of a normal card. If you can collect all the cards you can make a special badge called foil badge.
Each of these badges gives 100XP so you can get a total of 600XP in a game if you make all the badges.
This is only relevant for people who care about their steam level or want to have a cute badge on their profile to make it look unique.
