If I factory reset my computer, will all my game saves stay?
Okay so basically I'm pretty sure I have the Bloom.exe virus on my computer and just want to completely reset my computer because I have some games I'm not even able to play even though my computer should be able to handle it. I just wanted to know if all my progress will stay in all my games on steam if i was to just factory reset my computer, or if there is anything i need to do first before reseting

As long as the game utilizes the Steam Cloud to backup their save files, then you should be fine. While most games do, not all of them, so you'd have to look into that beforehand.

On the otherhand, if you're dealing with a virus on your computer, I wouldn't trust any files that are still on it regardless of what they are. So if you have a game that only has local saves, be on the safer side and burn it all. Starting over in a game is lot better than having to put up with a virus.

If the game supports cloud saves they will be restored when you reinstall the game. If they do not, you will need to backup the games before the system restore.

You can use something like Game Save Manager[www.gamesave-manager.com] to backup your saves, or do it by hand.

Yeah most of my games are on steam. Like I have Gmod, No Man's Sky, Destiny, People Playground. I do also have Crossout, but I downloaded it from the actual site and I'm pretty sure it just need my login info to keep my saves
