How do I get Steam Guard to work?

I have Steam Guard setup. Whenever I go to buy or do something on my desktop on Steam, it says to approve it via Steam Guard on my phone.

So my phone gets a notification.

So I tap the notification.

This launches the Steam App.

Cool. Steam app. Fun. Great app (I think. don't really know)

And this helps me how?

I still have to navigate manually, within the app to the Steam Guard page to approve it.

Is this really the intended way? ♥♥♥♥♥ christ. I have authenticators on a bunch of other services (battle.net,etc.)

They all let you tap the approval on your phone.

Steam Guard is the only one that just loads Steam and then you have to find your way to the Steam Guard within the app to approve. Wth? What gives? Why is it like this? That is insane. This is unrealistically obscene and tedious.

First off you can go to the settings and set steamguard as the default page when loading the app.

However the issue is (at least for me) that once you get the notification for one-touch login and press it, the Steam app opens normally. Then you have to wait for about 5 seconds for the approval window to appear. So I open it. I look at the QR login window for 5 seconds. Then approval window appears. In a few words the app is slow.

This is the only app where this happens, since in every other app I have where login approval is required, said window appears instantaneously.
