What happens if I redeem a Japanese steam gift card on an Austrian account?
So my account uses Euros and I want to redeem a Japanese steam gift card on my account, but I'm not sure what will happen. Will the money (Yen) automatically convert into Euros? I do not have any credit cards or anything like that. I only use cash to purchase gift cards to buy games.

Well, so far i personally only tried Hong Kong Dollar, US Dollar and Agentinian Peso Wallet cards, but It should also be automatically converted into euros.

May or may not work.

Either it will be rejected, or it will convert to your currency using current exchange rates.

How did you get a foreign gift card to begin with? If you bought it online, then on accident then?

Yeah as stated most likely you will NOT be able to redeem it, and if you can it just converts to your currency.
