Duplicate instances of DirectInput controllers
Recently after the November 16th Steam Client update, my wired Switch Pro Controller started acting weird. All my inputs were happening twice. This made it impossible to use in any game. Looking in the controller configuration menu I noticed Steam was registering two instances of my controller. (My controller does not have any wireless capability).

After investigating I finally traced the issue back to Steam itself. I used multiple third-party controller configuration programs to test my controller and did not experience this issue. My hypothesis was that the latest Steam update was the cause as nothing else changed on my PC.

To test this I used a different computer which had the previous version of Steam on it. My controller worked fine so I screenshot the version and the controller config window. I then updated my client and then it started doing the same thing as on my PC. This was pretty much the nail in the coffin.

Unfortunately I don't think this is something I can fix, rather something that needs to be patched in the next update.

Regardless, any help with getting this problem fixed is appreciated.
