Include the link to your second account.

Do know you need to add or spend $5 USD to become unlimited.

Then you probably added some retail game, or gifted it a game.

That rule changed on April 18th, 2015. You now need to add or spend $5 USD to send friend invites, et cetera. You can still receive such invites from other unlimited users without spending a dime.

And yes, your alt. is limited,

I'm able to trade in-game items like Team Fortress 2's from my limited to my unlimited user.

HOWEVER, i.e. trading cards will become "Not Tradable" if I trade them to my limited user, so take it with a pinch of salt.

It's kind of a gray area on what items limited users can and cannot trade out of their inventories, you can find it out from the item's tags once they're in the limited user's inventory.

Note: Lots of things work from an unlimited user to a limited user. Once on the limited account things become more dicey. You won't have a problem adding your limited account (from your unlimited one) or sending it items, but getting them back may be complicated.
