Skype makes my ping higher

Hey there, as the title says whenever I'm in a skype call I notice that my ping got like 6 times higher and that never used to happen in the past..

any tips to fix this please and thanks in advance.

Yes happens to me too. Use steam call? or something like Discord/Team Speak?

I haven't tried using the steam call but I see that skype is better , I prefer using it to any other way since I can make a group call.

You can be in a group on a discord/team speak. Just giving recommendations to fix the lag.

No problem. Usually this problem can stop out of no where and then come back later.

Skype doesn't scale well with multiple users.

Setup a discord server and use that. Servers are free and do not run locally so they are extremely easy to setup. You don't even have to download the app and run the entire thing in a web browser.

Yes, Discord is a very easy way to contact friends and servers only take you 2 seconds to set up
