Unresolved microphone sound problem - too low
For a little while now I've been having some issues where no matter what mic I use, my mic volume is way too low. Today I got a new headset - Logitech G230, which is nice and all but it's still having the same problem. Only way people can hear me is if I put microphone boost all the way up but then its very staticy and sounds bad. People can barely hear me and I tried everything. I put the volume all the way up for my mic in recording devices, and I also made sure the volumes all the way up in the realtek audio manager as well.

The G230 isn't a usb headset, instead it uses the 2 jacks for mic/headphones. I tried using the ones in the back of my PC, no fix. I made sure all my settings in the volume control aren't wrong- like 'do nothing' is checked, etc. Really hope I can find a solution for this.

Btw my old mic which had the same issue was a USB mic so I dont think it can do with my mic not being USB. It seems as if something wrong with the computer itself.

When you talk into any of the mics, how is Windows recognizing your voice level as in the 'green-yellow-red' bar scale?

On the recording tab it barely moves at all. The green bar Im talking about. When I set up the microphone and get the green/yellow/red bar it barely moves at all, slightly into the green even if I'm yelling into it.

it says the drivers up to date as well. the driver is 6.0.1.7541 from June 2015 though.
