Game and update installation across multiple hard drives
Is this possible (As per the title)?
My pc has 2, 1TB hard drives which the first one is full across pretty much all my games. The only problem i have now, is that i cant update any of them due to said lack of space.

Is it possible to have the main game files on one hard drive, and the updates on another?

Many Thanks.

No.

Fair enough. I expected that would be the case.

Would it be possible to balance out the games across both hard drives, rather than splitting the game files themselves. As in, some games on one hard drive, the rest on the other?

You get the option to choose which drive it gets installed on when you first install it.

I know that, i meant is it possible to move already installed games from the full hard drive to the empty one to free up space, so that the games can be updated?

Sure. Either back up the game by right mouse clicking it on Steam > Backup Game Files... then use the top [Steam > Backup and Restore Games...] and restore it on your other disk.

Or manually go to the Steam\steamapps\ -folder. Exit Steam, move the appmanifest_<app-ID>.acf -file from there to the destination folder's steamapps\ -folder.

Then move the game folder from under steamapps\common\ to the destination folder's steamapps\common\ -folder.
