How to use Nvidia Shadowplay to Record Anything (as far as I know)

Alright, so if you're one of the unlucky people who can't get Shadowplay to work properly in that it refuses to record a bunch of games while being OK with it for others, I may have a temporary solution. It requires very little knowledge of how Shadowplay works, just how to operate Shadowplay and a little bit of trial and error. So today, I was playing Nuclear Throne and decided to record a bit. I realized that I had YouTube playlist music in the background and took a moment to disable it while Shadowplay was running. I returned to Nuclear Throne and kept playing. I then rewatched the footage later and realized that Shadowplay recorded the part where I tabbed out and paused the music. If you're a bit confused and don't know what I'm getting at, I managed to get Shadowplay to record footage of me in a browser which is not an actual function of the software. The really nice thing is that I was also able to open up a seperate game I couldn't record and record it through this loophole. I haven't encountered anything thus far that can't be recorded with this trick. Basically, I boot up Nuclear Throne, mute it, and let it run in the background with Shadowplay enabled and voila! An all in one recording program for free / not much! I don't know if there is a game I am unable to start when NT is running but if there is, haven't found it yet. There are probably other games that let you do this so just test yours out and see if any work. If they do, comment their name in this thread and I will attempt to edit it with a list of titles that let you do this. Hope this helps you all.

Edit: I have discovered that the one thing this doesn't work around is streaming. You're going to need another program for that.

Or just enable desktop recording lol. It will allow recording of any game and your desktop too.

Desktop recording DOES give quite a high performance hit though in my experience.
