Steam Guard / Bluestacks -> Phone
Hello,

I activated steam guard in the past through a PC app called "Bluestacks". I didn't have a smarthphone at that time so i used that to bypass the security things to be able to use the market/trading.

Now I have a smartphone and I don't know what to do from here. As in to swap from Bluestacks to the phone for steamguard. I allready downloaded the steam app on my phone but it asks me the security code wich i have to get on Bluestacks (on pc) to log in (on phone). Quite confusing :P

Any guide or tips?

Thanks

I'm not sure, because I've ever had to change device, but I think you'll have to go onto the app on Bluestacks and disable the guard before re-activiating it on your new phone. I think that's what you'd have to do, but It might give you a market cooldown.

If you have two factor authentication enabled on your old phone, you should:
Disable the authenticator (go to the Steam Guard menu and choose a different Steam Guard method)
Log out of your account (go to the Log Out menu on iOS, or go to Settings / Log Out on the Android app).
Before you sell or give your phone away, we recommend doing a factory reset on it and removing personal information.

Thanks alot, will try it out.
Now I have switched from bluestacks to phone (same number - other device). It seems if I want to trade with someone "Starfish has not used the moblile authenticator for 7 days" - "The trade will be held for 15 days".

How to remove this 15 days hold?
Wait seven days. The Steam Mobile Authenticator must be active for at least seven consecutive days.
Okay, so I don't have to do anything. Fine, thanks for fast reply ;).
