GRAPHICS CARD
I'm trying to play Dark Souls 3 however my integrated graphics card is not good enough...

So I want to switch to my computers dedicated graphics card (Radeon) and so I read somewhere that by going into the device manager> Display adapters> disabling the integrated graphics card (the Intel, in this case)

will switch my computer over to the dedicated graphics card..

I just wanted to see if you guys could confirm if this works because I'd rather not screw up my display haha.

Just plug it in and go, no need to disable stuff. Maybe you need to change the resolution of your screen in windows but it should just work.

If it doesn't work just plug it back and troubleshoot.

Turn off the PC. Connect the monitor/tv cables to the graphics card not the motherboard and turn the PC back on. If you see anything at all you know it's worked at a basic level and then it's just a matter of making sure the graphics card drivers are up to date.

Alright! everything worked! My screen is grayed out however i can fix coloration later. I plan on running temp tests to make sure the card isnt stressed but now i can run Dark Souls 3 on maximum settings haha :p

sorry to bring this up.. but immediately when I turned on my computer with the dedicated card running the screen appeared discolored and sort of greyed out... not quite sure how to fix this but if any of you can lend some suggestions it would be helpful (everything else runs perfectly, also i'm sorry for asking- im well aware that i'm treating this as a sort of "tech support"- I just figured since it was related to the thread ^~^)

You said you had some amd driver issues? Try to fix those, reinstall their driver, check their support site, google for error codes and all that.

Make sure you got the AMD driver working as its should, I don't have a AMD card but i bet you could change color stuff using their software.

EDIT: do not disable stuff in the device manager.

I didn't, don't worry. I'll check the drivers on the website even though it says I'm up to date. The problem is that I can't access that color correction stuff because I can't access the settings. Same problem <-- just found a fix around it
