Problem with directx9 games.......

So before christmas, all of my games ran perfectly fine, besides the fact that they lagged. I decided to upgrade my graphics card for better fps, by getting a gtx 970 ssc. After doing so, and installing the card and the drivers, a couple of my favorite games stopped working. For example, skyrim, oblivion, fallout 3, dishonored, dirty bomb. I decided, after a month of asking around with no good answer, to give up. But recently i discovered that all these games have one thing in common, and that is they all run with directx9. If it helps, i can run skyrim through script extender.

The GTX 970 supports DirectX 9.0, you most likely need to update your Nvidia driver.

my drivers are all up to date.

I would do a clean reinstall of your drivers, then update DirectX to the latest version.
