Steam payment (wallet - directebanking)

Hi,

Not sure if it is the right sub forums, but I'd like to explain my problem with the steam wallet and directebanking system.

Maybe someone could help (or it may help someone else)

It is not the first time that this problem happens to me.
So here it is:

• I add a few games to my cart
  
• I choose to pay per directebanking, then the steamshop propose to pay per steam wallet ( 0.88€) AND directebanking (for the rest.
  
• as you can after change your payment method, I change the steam wallet to directebanking to keep my 0.88€ in my steam wallet. but then Steam said that some payment are still pending. Nevermind, i continue and the whole payment can be done by directebanking (so I keep the 0.88€).
  
• I validate and pay per directebanking. For the moment there is a maintenance. so I couldn't finished my payment.
  
• Therefore I terminate the session, but the system doens't go back to the steam shop.
  
• Then i try to cancel the payment and the steam cart page is blocked and i need first to close steam then login again and to go on my steam account details>>transaction to cancel the payment that couldn't be done.

I tryed a second time, the bank system was still in maintenance.
After trying twice steam told me that i tryed too many times to buy and that I need to wait.

Per my understanding trying twice is not really overkill. It seems that changing the payment method counts as a payment trial which should not.

I waited one day and bought my games today. I had the same problem with the directebanking so I decided to pay per mastercard. It worked.
After paying for me, I wanted to gift a friend a game, I got a warning that i tryed too many times to buy and that I should wait...once again... Overkill again?

I suggest that when the steam wallet is not selected, you don't use it. don't force people to use the steam wallet if not slected at first.

Moreover with directebanking when you terminate the session, then the payment should be cancelled and the steam cart should be saved and the payment resetted.

It seems also from other posts that buying multiple games tells the user that they bought or tried too many times and that they need to wait
