I'm trying to add something to my library??!?!? [solved]

So ive done it before, it's normally very easy. But this one program is being a total bioch about it. I want to the Technic Launcher to it, leave me alone I'm so rediculously bored right now lol. Not only can I not even "Pin to taskbar"because the programs open, but I cant find ANYTHING to do with the launcher or any applications in the folder when I try and add it? Theres no "Win32" folder either.
Solution [ by habitualaction ] : The original downloaded file is now the launcher file! Go back to your downloads and move that downloader into the file where you installed your technic pack, thats what I did and then I could easily add it to steam and it works just fine :)

You launch is SOMEHOW. This "somehow" is most likely a shortcut. Use this shortcut to learn how to launch it.

There is no shortcut?! Theres nothing on my desktop and I cant pin to task bar and I cant find any application in the folders! I dont understand this program. Gonna say something dumb, should I have run a game FROM the launcher first? Sorry if this is stupid af

Thats where the application normally is I thought

It's a somewhat common place but by no means a universal default. If I had to guess, the executable is in assets, or a folder below assets. If it's in a folder below assets, it'll likely be a folder called binaries, another common place.

I am pretty sure that the installer also created a shortcut.

well I can't find it then, its not on my desktop, its not in my start menu, its no where in the actual folders, can you tell me where it is?

I've no idea what program it is. I mostly find my stuff pressing the Windows key and simply typing the program name.

TechnicLauncher.exe is not an installer. That's the launcher. if it's not starting, then that's a problem. There is probably logs showing what went wrong in %appdata%.techniclogs

But if running TechnicLauncher.exe isn't working then I would really recommend using our support site at support.technicpack.net

I've closed it :) There is literally nothing I can do currently :D
