Can't start offline mode

Have had no internet for 2 weeks due to a house move before I moved set steam if offline mode trying to play my games just now its not letting me I am getting a pop up telling me to retry connection or start in offline mode but when I click offline mode it just pops back up connection error. I won't have my internet installed for another 2 weeks can anyone help get me playing again

Hi all moved to a new place 2 weeks ago. All was fine before I moved I turned steam offline in my old place before my internet got dc. All was fine moved house steam would start in offline mode. Turned PC on today clicked start in offline mode. Steam does it thing then 1 minute later window pops up "Connection error" either check your connection and click retry or start steam in offline mode" press start in offline mode and same thing. It was fine a few days ago but now won't even start in offline mode and my net ain't getting installed for over 2 weeks argh. Can anyone help me get this offline again

I believe you have to connect online every 2 weeks.

Argh bummer and my internet is not getting installed for 2 weeks nooooo

I have tried to connect my iPhone via my PC however my computer does not have a wifi chip in it so that won't work I use the ethernetoconnect my modem

I have never heard of this limitation unless of course it is new.. and if this is the case it would be just about as bad of a decision as paid mods and the Cell phone requirements for market..

It is a pain in the backside at the end of the day it is not my problem I can't get y internet installed for 4 weeks I have legally paid for all my games in my steam library so I should legally be allowed to play them when j want what right have steam got locking me out 2 weeks after I move because my Isp is taking longer than normal to get my internet up and running

I know if you do not 'save your password' then offline mode will not work properly?

If they have instituted this 2 week offline limit.. then all the sayers that say Steam is NOT DRM are liars.

So is this another issue.. or is there truly a 2 week limit for offline mode? That seems to not have been answered by the mod in the above linked thread.
