NFS2016 isnt sold on steam it's an origin game. The best chance you'll have is to add the game as a non steam shortcut then load it via steam. Not all non steam games will work with the steam overlay.

A friend told me that .. "Just add "NFS16.exe" as a non-steam and rename it if needed
Don't open origin
Start the game from the steam shortcut
It should launch origin first and then need for speed.

That's how I get the steam overlay :/

If it doesn't work, try to add origin directly as a non-steam game."

i solved thanks for the help, all you had to do was : 1. Add Origin.exe as the non-steam game shortcut instead of the Need For Speed one.
2. Set Origin.exe to run in Windows 7 compatibility mode. And steam overlay work :)

You beautiful bastard, I used this to finally get Dragon Age: Inquisition working. It now accepts the Steam Controller as a gamepad!

I can now confirm that the overlay works perfectly fine with the new Origin interface. Thank you! :OGOA:

As it is an origin game, open up your steam app on your pc/ mac then in the bottom left corner you should see "add a game", once you have hit that button simply look for the game you are searching for. When the game is found double click it then hit ok/ next/ finish. Then the game should be there in your steam library. Then everytime you want to open it go onto the steam library and hit open on the game. Then you should be able to open it using the hotkey you have set/ have (the default is SHIFT+TAB) Hope this helps you :) contact me if you need any more help...
