Steam rearranging desktop icons
Hi all. I got a strange problem. Whenever I start a game from Steam, all of my desktop icons get rearranged. It is pretty annoying...
All games run at the same resolution as my desktop (1920x1080) if possible, so that is not the problem...
When I start a game, it seems as it changes resolution (and switch back to the desktop) to "something low" briefly, before the game starts - then the games starts in 1920x1080 as it should. When exiting, the icons on the desktop have moved around.
I am not sure if it is a coincidence but the problem started about the same time I upgraded to win10.

Anyone know what to do?

What to do depends on the game. Make sure that game doesn't even briefly switch to a lower resolution.

The last 3 games I played all did it: Hoi4, Total War Attilla and Total War Warhammer.... (I am 100% sure that Attilla did not do it before). How do I make sure they don´t do it briefly? In settings, they are the same as my desktop

I encountered the same thing after installing C&C Remastered and American Truck Simulator just now. I haven't started either game yet.

It´s a long time ago, but as far as I remember it was a setting in Windows that caused the trouble. I think there is as setting somewhere were you can choose windows not to arrange the icons by default...

Hey this has also been happening to me for the past month or so now and it's really beginning to piss me off. I organize my files based on the editing projects I'm doing and it keeps changing.

Do you remember by any chance where I might find this in settings or at least where I could go to find out how to fix this?
