Sound coming from one speaker, only with Steam games?!
Hi guys, when playing Steam games, any game, I only get sound coming out of one speaker, front right. When playing games not in Steam, sound comes out fine. I really do not want to ahve to reinstall the drivers, when apparently this is a steam issue.

Any ideas?

check windows volume balance settings

check the realtek audio control panel
make sure its set to stereo not 2.1 or anything else

You can also uninstall and reinstall the audio driver; that will reset the OS playback/recording/mixer settings.

You can't have a per-app playback left/right balance so IDK what that would be.
If the balance was off, everything sound-wise on the system would be effected as far as playback goes.

For any analog speakers/headsets; re-check the physical connection; when a 3.5mm end is only out of the port slightly; it will only play one side (left or right)
